Browns

I have shifted from black and white to various shades of brown... and am loving it!  Since I am drawn to organic tangles maybe it just makes sense that I am attracted to the look of brown/sepia ink on tan tiles.  Soon I will have to try the Renaissance tiles from Zentangle... I have a stack waiting for me!

DC 155 -- white space

The Diva's challenge this week was to leave a little white space... not at all a challenge for me!  I like space; probably most of my tiles have lots of space around and within the tangles!

Now, it is late in the week but I wanted to get these posted anyway... tiles from myself and my mom!

These "oranges" (so called by my kids) were part of the decor of the cruise ship I have been on for the past not enough days!  This tile I gave to our dining room hostess who was just the friendliest person aboard!

My mom created this gorgeous tile!  I love that heart Mooka!

DC 154 Mom's Valentangle

I sent a text to my Mom early Monday morning... you in on this week's challenge?  Her response was basically... running errands; I will through something together.  Then soon after, I get this with the narration "best I could do".  Really, Mom?!  You are a tangling rock star!  There are several tangles in her tile that I haven't tried yet let alone even heard of!  I particularly like the ribbon that wraps around all those buds.

DC 154 -- Happy Valentangles Day!

This week's challenge presented by the Diva is apropos as this Friday is Valentine's Day.  In this week's tangling adventure, the challenge was to incorporate an aspect of Valentine's Day.

Did you know...
Valentine's Day in banned in Saudi Arabia.
White Castle accepts reservations for Valentine diners.
It only takes one fifth of a second to fall in love.

Also in the spirit of Valentine's Day, there have been many love inspired tangles illustrated on TanglePatterns; recently was the tangle Luv-a.   I am not a heart-tangling kind of person but this tangle is fun; perhaps because it's organic and just flows where it wants.  Well, Luv-a inspired this ZIA and is my official submission to the challenge... sloppy N Zepple and all!

Lips of Luv-a

My friend and tangle muse, Jean, pointed out that even the lips are in the shape of a heart!

Happy Valentine's Day dear tanglers!

DC 153 -- this one by my mom!

Yea!  My mom is totally tangled with the rest of us!  I introduced her to Zentangle only a few months ago -- and there is no stopping her!  This is her first Diva Challenge... using Jailed Johnny by Sadelle Wiltshire.
Good Job Mom!!!

DC 153 - Jailed Johnny

This week's Diva challenge was to use the tangle Jailed Johnny by Sadelle Wiltshire, CZT... follow the link to her blog for the step outs.  It is quite a fun tangle!

I simply like organic tangles!   The tangle with the little orange dots (Sakura Glaze pen) is my new tangle called Moro.  I just submitted it to Linda Farmer at TanglePatterns -- keeping my fingers crossed in hopes of becoming famous! :)
